What's New in Brainstorming and Ideation?
Ever since the term “Brainstorming” was coined back in the 1940’s, organizations have been looking for a way to systematize the generation of good ideas for product and service innovation. And for more than 60 years, not much changed. But just in the past 5-10 years, the web has changed everything! Many have responded with the creation and implementation of “Idea Management Systems”, a software response to the problem. And while software is usually a component of the solution, there is still so much more to consider.
Join product development guru Gerry Katz as he walks through some of the key design considerations for successful idea generation, as well as some of the latest research into this thorny and sometimes controversial area.

- A detailed enumeration of the many options that must be taken into consideration in setting up an individual brainstorming session or a complete idea generation system
- A discussion of some of the most important recent research on how to improve both the quantity and quality of ideas and how to pick the winners
