PDMA’s OCI Award has been in place for 23 years and is the only innovation award which recognizes sustained quantifiable innovation success. This session will provide a review of the common practices and processes which have contributed to the success of these companies. Specific examples of how the winners have implemented these practices within their companies will be shared.

Join us for ‘a look under the hood’ of proven successful innovators.

Since 1988 PDMA has presented The Outstanding Corporate Innovator Award (OCI) to companies which have demonstrated sustained success in developing and launching value creating new products and services over a 5 year time frame. The practices and processes which have contributed to the success of these companies provide a valuable set of learnings for organizations which face the challenges of improving their innovation performance.

This webcast will briefly summarize an earlier OCI webinar which reviewed the common best practices of the winners in the 1988-2003 time frame and will focus on what new/next practices have emerged since 2003. Specific examples of how the winners have implemented these practices within their companies and industries will be shared.

You will learn:

  • An understanding of the common processes and practices of (42) diverse companies which have demonstrated sustained innovation success; what separates the winners from the rest.
  • A look at emerging/next practices contributing to innovation success
  • Specific examples of implementation of the practices
