Let the Crowd Rise Up to Help Japan’s Earthquake & Tsunami Relief Efforts
Post by The Daily Crowdsource
If you’ve been watching the news surrounding the situation in Japan, and wondered how you could lend a hand from your comfy chair, Crowdrise has made it easy for you to donate to one of over 60 Japanese relief efforts.
Crowdrise is a platform where charitable causes can raise money in new ways by setting up a campaign for a specific purpose, & letting the crowd donate & encourage others to do the same. This method of getting the crowd involved in your fundraising efforts is more commonly referred to as crowdfunding.
Crowdrise has used their crowdfunding platform to help launch over 60 campaigns in the wake of the unfortunate disaster experienced in Japan, and they’re encouraging you to donate to a project or start your own.
Now is the time to Crowdrise. The Japanese are in the middle of a major disaster. Please donate to the projects [below] or start your own fundraiser. Please just get involved and get all your friends involved. This is why we Crowdrise.

Of the projects listed, The Red Cross has already reached their goal of raising $13,000 through the crowdfunding efforts of approximately 200 donors offering as little as $10. ShelterBox has reached their goal of $1,000 and a handful of other campaigns are nearly there.
If you find yourself unable to donate money, find a project you like & share it on Twitter and Facebook. With the power of crowdfunding your support can make a difference. Visit the Hope For Japan page on Crowdrise for more information.
